In today’s video and blog post, we’ll be talking about cellulite – what cellulite is and what causes it, as well as the 3 top cellulite myths and how to get rid of cellulite. Now the reason why I wanted to cover this topic is because there’s an awful lot of misinformation out there about what cellulite is, what causes it, and how you can get rid of it. And before many of you go out and start spending a lot of money on creams and cosmetic procedures, I thought it would be very helpful if I provided a bit of information to help you feel more educated on this subject.

So let’s start with a quick rundown of what cellulite is and what causes it:
So basically the dimples that we “see” on the surface of the skin is what we refer to as cellulite, and this dimpling is caused by underlying fat deposits below the skin’s surface that start to push upward through the connective tissue (which is made of collagen fibers) and this connective tissue sits directly below the skin’s surface and right above the deeper layer of fat deposits.
Now as far as prevalence, cellulite is much more common in women (around 90% of women will be affected by cellulite at some point in our lives) but a lot of men will develop cellulite too and reports show about 10% of men are affected by cellulite.
