Have you ever wondered if it’s a smart move to lift heavy weights when you’re looking to lose weight and get in shape? I’m sure many of you reading this have heard other women say how they avoid lifting heavy weights because they “don’t want to get bulky” or that these same women “don’t want to lift too heavy” because they’re trying to “lose weight” and don’t want their muscles to get “too big.”

Or maybe, you’ve been the woman who has made these types of statements yourself!

Well, I’ve got some very good news for you if you’re a woman who’s reading this and has been avoiding the heavier weights at the gym: Lifting heavy weights will  not make you big and “bulky.”

Here’s the thing ladies: The average woman can’t get big and bulky from lifting heavy weights because we don’t have an abundance of testosterone (like men). In fact, in the case of women, choosing to lift heavier weights can provide very nice fitness and weight loss benefits that I’ll share more about in the video below.
