A couple weeks ago, Refinery29 reached out to me and asked if I could share my 2 cents on LISS workouts, aka “low-intensity steady-state” cardio workouts. Now for those who don’t know, LISS workouts are pretty much the exact opposite of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts, meaning that a LISS workout will be super-chill and relaxed versus super-hardcore and sweaty. That being said, I’ve written a few articles on and shot a few videos about both forms of exercise (HIIT and LISS) and how both styles of exercise are great for weight loss and improving overall health. And knowing all that I know about HIIT vs. LISS and exercise in general, I must say that I am a HUGE fan of LISS workouts for weight loss (especially walking), and I’ll share those reasons in the video below.
