Hey guys! In today’s video I’ll be sharing why high fructose corn syrup, or HFCS, is one of the worst kinds of sugars you could be eating if you’re looking to lose weight, keep the weight off, and just live healthier overall.
Now when it comes to high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), if you don’t read food labels regularly you may be surprised to find that many foods you do eat on daily basis are on the list. And the reason why is because HFCS is a cheap alternative sugar that some food manufacturers prefer to use as the main sweetener in many foods, even the “healthy” ones. Unfortunately, there are studies that have shown a direct link between HFCS and weight gain, which is why many fitness and nutrition experts like myself have come to believe that HFCS is a major reason why we’re struggling with an obesity epidemic in the US.
So after you watch the video, check out the list below of 15 popular foods that contain HFCS. Also, keep in mind that just because a food like ketchup is on the list, doesn’t mean all ketchup brands contain HFCS. So always take a quick peak at the nutrition facts of any food you buy to determine its quality overall. And remember, when it comes to avoiding HFCS the solution is super easy – just read the nutrition facts on the food label and you’ll be good to go!
